Midnight Special
Ingredients
- 1.5 ounces bourbon
- 0.3 ounce sherry
- 0.3 ounce bitter
- 0.8 ounce lemon juice
- 0.8 ounce simple syrup
- 1 egg white
- bitters
- lemon twist
Method
Add all the ingredients except the egg white to a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Fine-strain into a rocks glass over 1 large ice cube. Add the egg white to an empty shaker and dry-shake without ice for about 10 seconds, and pour over the cocktail. Garnish with a few drops of black walnut bitters. Express lemon peel oils over the top of the drink, then drop the peel in.
